Back-end Collections Manager
(Kuala Lumpur)
Responsibilities:
• Heading and managing the Legal Department (including monitoring and supervising the subordinates work, progress and development)
• Review the progress of legal files to ascertain that the correct mode of legal recourse is adopted, the period of time taken, cost-benefits of the various legal process and generally to ensure that the solicitors provide prompt and efficient services
• Liaise with panel solicitors for institution of Legal action, commencement of execution proceedings, negotiations of settlement with Defendant’s solicitors and out-of-court settlements
• To assist Officer/Supervisor in negotiation with difficult/demanding debtors on the settlement of the outstanding debts as and when required
• Strategy and plan the recovery of Inactive debts to achieve targets set by the Management
• Draft and vet legal agreements and documents
Requirements:
• At least 8 years Managers specializing in Law/Legal Services or commercial experience
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, management and drafting skills with high level of integrity and confidentiality
• High computer literacy and possess a good command in Microsoft Office applications
• To assist/advice/recommend solution/s to other functional departments within the company on matters pertaining to legality, regulatory and statutory requirements of specific locality of new business venture as well as current business operations
• Ability to meet timelines, good and analytical skills, self-starter and able to work independently and resourceful
