ANALYST – Islamic Banking
Kuala Lumpur
Responsibilities:
• Obtain a thorough understanding of the international market for Islamic banking and understand what are the expected Islamic liquidity requirements;
• Produce detailed market intelligence and analysis to be presented to internal and external audience for the purpose of new product development and developing effective trading strategies;
• Provides data analysis on Islamic Sukuks and corporate bonds and/or structured finance transactions;
• Reports to the Head of Origination.
Requirements:
• BA/ MA Degree in Finance & Accounting, Economics or equivalent. Professional qualification as Certified Islamic Finance Analyst (CIFA) is preferred;
• Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar role in Investment Banking;
• Relevant technical understanding of the business areas under the credit responsibility including knowledge of Islamic Financial products would be an added advantage;
• Team player. Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to details;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with good presentation skills;
• Computer literacy with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office products particularly with a good command of Excel.
