Background
UNDP
Malaysia Country Office provides policy-oriented and technical advisory support
to the Government of Malaysia in accordance to the approved Country Programme.
The new Country Programme Action Plan 2016 – 2020 is aligned to the development
priorities of the 11th Malaysia Plan with sustainable human
development agenda at the forefront, underpinned by two outcomes/priorities:
(a) inclusive development and growth; and (b) sustainable and resilient
development.
Malaysia Country Office provides policy-oriented and technical advisory support

The new Country Programme Action Plan 2016 – 2020 is aligned to the development

Currently,
UNDP Malaysia is implementing two initiatives in collaboration with the
Economic Planning Unit and the Department of Wildlife and National Parks. The
initiatives are (i) Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN), and (ii)
Enhancing Effectiveness and Financial Sustainability of Protected Area in
Malaysia (PAF), with a thematic focus on finance for biodiversity and protected
area for sustainable human development.
