Job Description:

Application Engineer
Responsibilities:
You will be the first contact person for all technical issues in a certain country group within South East Asia. You will provide technical support to internal sales staff and clients directly. You will report to the Regional Manager.
Job Description:
• Thinking proactively and creatively in the function of:
– Technical support to clients and sales
– Understand customers’/project’s requirements, analyze and generate optimal technical solutions
– Make bill of material calculation for projects
– Make static and other technical calculations as required by the projects
– Investigate technical complains, initiate improvement measures.
• Conduct audit and effective technical trainings for clients and internal staff, so as to achieve the required product quality and image at all levels.
• You are to built network with key technicians of clients and improve their competence in line with Reynaers specifications and quality.
• Support preparation of seminars / Presentation.
• You coordinate technical proposals with relevant parties, including the project cell in Duffel, Belgium.
Requirements
Education / Experience:
• Degree or diploma in civil engineering or mechanical engineering or equal by experience; knowledge of the building construction sector is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
• You have at least 3 years experience in technical consultation, training and service support to clients/sales.
• You are able to conduct product presentation independently to project owners / architects, discussing essential details with them, generating solutions / proposals that would meet price-quality requirements of clients.
• You are attentive for new trends on technical and competition level.
• You are open, communicative, you can work in team and you have a creative personality.

Languages:
Proficiency in English. Mandarin or other SEA languages would be an advantage.
(Need to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates and clients).
Computer:
• You have a good knowledge and experience with the most usual computer
software: AUTOCAD, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Affinity with internet and electronic communication tools.
