Our Gold Coast office currently has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer or a Senior Technical Designer depending on qualifications with a minimum of 5 years consultancy experience, to join a well-established, global and successful organisation. As a key function within a regional office of professionals, you will play an integral part in providing exceptional technical skills to enable the team to achieve its business objectives.
As an experienced Electrical Engineer the successful applicant will possess:
• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or Diploma qualifications
• A minimum of 5 years extensive experience, preferably within a consultancy environment
• Fully conversant with Australian Standards, Electrical Acts and Regulations
• Strong communications skills, including client liaison experience
• Experience in design and document electrical services; including electrical overhead and underground power reticulation and distribution systems, lighting, controls, communications, earthing, security, audio visual and fire detection systems
• Experience in design and document electrical roads infrastructure services such as Road lighting, Traffic signals and Intelligent Transport Systems is an advantage.
• Experience in preparation of project proposals and cost estimates
• Experience in dealings and liaison with clients, contractors, architects, civil engineers, project engineers in multi-discipline project teams, and with authorities such as Energex, Main Roads and Local Councils in Queensland is an advantage
• Computer proficiency in AutoCAD, PowerCAD, PerfectLite, AGI Lighting design, Sidra Analysis Software and Microsoft Office applications is an advantage
• Drafting and report compiling experience is an advantage but not essential.
The successful candidate will be required to participate in a wide range of projects from concept design studies through to detailed design and construction. Projects will range from single consultancy jobs through to major multi-discipline design projects. In addition, this position will require assisting with checking design, reviewing drawings, writing proposals, and meeting potential clients.
