Job Description
To ensure effective and efficient management of Trade Services Unit in accordance to laid down processes and procedures, in order to manage operational risk, enhance bank’s profitability, reputation and quality
customer service

Key Roles & Responsibilities
– Ensure that all procedures and processes within Trade Services Unit comply with Risk management / policies
-Ensure that all transactions within Trade Service Unit are processed in a manner which meets agreed service standards in order to enhance quality customer service
-Drive service quality initiatives for Trade Service Unit to achieve higher service quality standards
-Continuously review and recommend changes in process flows of Trade Service Unit to achieve efficiency and maximum automation levels without compromising controls
-Ensure that the bank does not suffer loss, financially, as a result of errors, delays and frauds in processing Trade transactions
-Ensure that all accounts which fall within the responsibility of Trade Services are reconciled and balanced in accordance with group guidelines and all outstandings are followed-up and resolved on a timely manner.
-Ensure drawdown of Trade loans are in accordance to conditions set in the BCA and close monitoring in terms of repayment
-Ensure close tracking of outstanding items in Nostro a/cs where any outstanding item should not exceed 3 days at any point of time
-Head & manage a team of staff including guidance, performance appraisals, development etc

Qualifications & Skills
• Knowledge of Trade products
• 3 years in Managerial Post
• Ability to handle issues independently and make decisions on variety of matters under varied circumstances
• Good working knowledge of Risk Management
• Customer oriented since primary responsibility is to ensure that the unit provides high quality customer service standards
• Good analytical skills to understand and improve workflow in order to enhance efficiency and profitability
• Effective people management and coaching skills
