Job Specifications :
•BSc (Degree), preferably in a numerical discipline such as mathematics, economics, statistics, finance or physical sciences.MBA Strategic Planning) will be an added advantage
•Must have previously held a similar position with experience of conducting business analysis, market research and supporting the development of business cases.
•Strong excel analysis skills – with exposure to developing business forecasts
•Strong understanding of business financials and management accounts
•Good commercial / strategic acumen.
•Evidence of conducting strategic analyses.
•Excellent analytical skills
•Ability to manage production of reports / presentations
•Experience of presenting analysis and results to managers
•Good PowerPoint and presentation writing skills
•Worked in a multi-divisional environment
•Experience of coordinating analysis across divisions / business units
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills a must
•Proactive and self-motivated to anticipate, prioritise and action appropriate market research and analytical demands
•Strong financial skills – understanding of consolidation, financial planning
•Work in a multi-international environment
Main Responsibilities :
•Ensure the completion and delivery of strategic plans by the BU to the corporate process
•Ensure the timely and accurate completion and delivery of periodic performance management reports to the Group Performance Management team
•Liaise with Business Unit Managers to gather inputs, analysis and commentary to the Group Strategic plans
•Coordinate the documentation of strategic initiatives and plans for the Business Unit
•Coordinate the review of internal performance for the Business Unit as determined by the Group Strategic Planning Manager and Business Unit Managing Director
•Coordinate the review of the market and competitors for the Business Unit as determined by the Group Strategic Planning Manager and Business Unit Managing Director
•Support the Business Unit Managing Director in liaising with Group Strategic Planning and Mantrac Centres of Excellence to define BU strategic priorities
•Liaise with the Group Market Research and Intelligence team to align key macro economic and market inputs into the BU plans
•Provide adhoc analytical support to the development of the BU strategic plans
•Coordinate initial review and commentary on BU strategic plans
•Coordinate initial review and commentary of performance management reports to Group
Performance Management
•Support adhoc strategy development projects as required across the group
•Supervising the Business Unit Marketing Analyst in the execution of all elements of marketing communications & PR plans supporting the brand, new product launches, etc
•Overseeing relationships with external parties (e.g. advertising agencies, vendors, etc.) with the Business Unit Marketing Analyst
•Support specific market and customer intelligence analysis for the Business Unit as required in the planning process
•Support the Group Strategic Planning Manager and Business Unit Managing Director in the development of forecast scenarios for BU
