Description:
The role will be responsible for coordination of engineering work and special services for plant engineering and other services as may be required from time to time.

The Plant Engineer is expected to:
To coordinate and establish schedules, task assignments and allocation of manpower, materials and equipment to ensure good performance in the plant.
To apply his expertise in Power Plants to the Ubungo Power Plant and optimize the output of the plant, by effective operation, preventative maintenance and health, safety and environment issues.
Manage, Supervise and coordinate the planning, inspection of the maintenance, repair, renovation and/or construction of plant facilities.
Maintain liaison- between Songas management and maintenance department to secure and transmit information relative to and of concern to the plant.
Review proposed policies and procedures; evaluate and serve in an advisory capacity to Technical Manager and other team members as required, make recommendations for improvements in facility, system and management program.
Provide direction to staff by applying specialized and technical knowledge in the implementation and execution of activities related to maintenance repair, renovations, construction, design or evaluation of system and plant facilities.
Any other temporary duties as the Technical Manager see fit as the project progresses.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will most likely have the following qualifications, experience and skills:
Advance Diploma / Degree in Engineering
Project Management experience in Electrical or Mechanical or civil engineering projects
Advance Diploma / Degree in Engineering
Project Management experience in Electrical or Mechanical or civil engineering projects
Knowledge and ability to use AUTO CAD is a must. Knowledge in computer and engineering drawings
