Deputy Chief of Party / Senior Technical Manager ICT –
Tanzania – Long Term Assignment – USAID
We are recruiting for a Deputy CoP / Senior Technical Manager ICT (Information & Communications technology) for an anticipated USAID funded Health Programme in
Tanzania. The key responsibilities include:
• Full redesign, execution and implementation of Most Vulnerable Children (MVC) Management Information System (MIS). Work with Futures ICT and M&E teams and DSW on re-designing/strengthening the current national MVC MIS
• Provide technical advice to COP and DSW on rolling out the new system to districts in Tanzania. Provides technical advice to senior management regarding capacity building strategy and implementation plan for various target audiences.
• Fully accountable for successfully implementation and execution of all aspects of the MVC DMS MIS solution
• Mentors, trains, and manages assigned staff to successfully work on the projects to leverage proposed outcomes and meet/exceed quantitative target commitments to donors.
You will ideally demonstrate…..
• University Degree in Informatics or Information Technology
• 5-7years of experience in international Health IT context is essential
• 5-7 years Expert knowledge in IT domains and ability to design and conduct trainings on topics such as Operating Systems and platforms, PC hardware and software, LAN, WAN, Databases systems including MS Access, MS SQL, MySQL, Cloud and Web technologies etc
• Demonstrated technical experience DSW MVC management information system; and health & mobile computing solutions
• Expertise in facilitation and training for various target audiences including technical experts (i.e. data entry specialists / data analysts) and policy makers
