Job Description:

The US Embassy is seeking an individual for the position of Project Development
Specialist (Gender and Youth) at the United States Agency for International
Development. This is a full-time Personal Services Contract position.
Applicants who meet minimum e

ducational requirements for the position but have
less years of experience in the required field may be considered for hiring at
a lower pay grade.

Basic Function:

Serves as a Project Development Specialist in the Strategic Planning and
Program Support Office and as the MiSSion’s key advisor on the role of women
and youth as related to the Mission’s Country Development and Cooperation
Strategy (CDCS). The Specialist will ensure that project designs effectively
address gender and youth and that these issues are effectively mainstreamed
into the Mission’s programming processes, from the strategic planning phase to
program implementation, evaluation and review phase. Manages cross-cutting
programs related to gender and youth. Provides support and training to Development
Objective (DO) Teams and partners on all Mission cross-cutting issues. Reports
on cross-cutting issues and tracks this information. The incumbent also serves
as the Mission point person for project development, review and approval
processes, ensuring integration of Mission cross-cutting issues and adherence
to Agency rules and regulations.
