The Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI) was established by the Act of
Parliament No.20f 1996. The Institute is a semi-autonomous organization
which operates at “arm’s length” under the Ministry of Health and
Social
Welfare. The Institute has various roles which all stem on the main role of
controlling cancer in Tanzania. The Institute is currently looking for
qualified Tanzania citizens to fill the following
vacancies:

a): Duties
i) General cleaning of the offices, kitchen, wards and other patient
treatment areas.
ii) Disposal of medical and other wastes.
iii) Cleaning of equipments and accessories used in patient diagnosis and
treatment.
iv) Performs duties in the kitchen.
v) Carry out movement of medical files and others.
vi) General cleanliness of environment and offices.
vii} Perform other duties as shall be assigned by Superiors
b) Qualifications
Holder of certificate in Secondary Education with at least 6 month
certificate course in Hospital Cleaning/infections protection, hygiene,
health safety issues and Waste Management from any recognized Institution.

General Conditions
1. Applicants must send their handwritten application letters attached with
current Curriculum Vita (CV) with three referees, certified
copies of academic certificates, and Birth certificate.
2. Testimonials, Partial transcripts, and results slip will not be accepted.
3. Applications should be made on the strength of the requirements provided
in the advertisement;
4. Applicants who have foreign certificates should certify the same to the
relevant authority before submitting their applications.
5. Applicants who are currently employed in the Public Service should route
their applications to their current employers.
6. Presentation of forged certificates and other information in the CV
shall call for legal action;
7. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed the date for interview;
8. The applications should reach the office of the undersigned not later
than 14 days from the first appearance date of this advertisement.
