I am a student in the United States, double-majoring in Child Learning and Development and Psychology. I would like to leave the U.S. after I graduate from college in 2014, and hopefully work in Singapore. I will begin learning Mandarin this fall, and I have been working part-time in a pre-school classroom since October 2010. I have read that teachers are in-demand in Singapore, and that it isn’t too hard for foreigners to get jobs there. I was wondering if anyone can verify this for me?
Also, I have been browsing the Ministry of Education’s website, and looked at the Trained Foreign Teacher application. It asks for “GCE O or equivalent.” What does that mean for me, since I am from the U.S.?
