Responsible for the effective development and implementation of programs to ensure that all information systems products and services meet minimum company standards and end-user requirements. Leads, supports and develops a team of Testers and business analysts that support systems & applications.
Main duties/Responsibilities
§ Administers change control process for zero defect software development. Ensures adequate product testing prior to implementation.
§ Administers problem management process including monitoring and reporting on problem resolution.
§ Makes recommendations to superiors regarding the acquisition and/or implementation of software to increase information systems efficiency.
§ Assigns work to subordinates, monitors performance, and conducts performance appraisals.
§ Provides guidance in the creation of standard test environments, tests plans, and test scripts.
§ Analyzes, designs new or modified Quality Assurance procedures and assists in the development and implementation of QA metrics for assessing the quality of delivered application software.
§ May modify automated testing systems for procedural or standard changes.
§ Works with client and IT management and staff to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology
§ Adhere to Information Protection Policies and Business Continuity Plans ensuring compliance at all levels without supervision.
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrable expertise in;
§ ISEB / ISTQB
§ Strong understanding on SDLC and STLC processes of Web and client/server applications
§ Highly skilled with strong experience in test planning, test case generation and execution techniques.
§ Knowledge on Automation Test Design, Development and Execution using various Functional Test Automation tools
§ Possesses a broad knowledge of business modelling and process engineering
§ Highly skilled in Web Testing in various environments and different browsers like IE/Opera/FireFox/Safari
§ Strong experienced in using SQL queries to ensure Database Testing
§ Experienced with change management and defect tracking processes.
§ Experience in delivery of process improvement/quality projects
§ Good understanding of business processes, technicalities and priorities
