Church of Uganda Provincial Coordinator Missions & Evangelism Job Vacancy in Uganda

The Church of the Province (Church of Uganda) is a member of the Anglican Communion. The Church is commissioned to carry-out Christ’s mission of teaching, preaching, healing and nurturing her people so that they may have an abundant life and build an evangelistic, loving, caring, worshipping, peaceful and just community. The Church is currently seeking a suitable person to fill the position of Provincial Coordinator Missions & Evangelism.

POSITION: Provincial Coordinator Missions & Evangelism
Reports to Provincial Secretary

Main Purpose of the Job:
To ensure sound biblical teaching, clear presentation of the gospel and discipleship of believers across the province through missions and evangelism • –

Key duties:
1. Plans and coordinates Mission and Evangelism activities throughout the Province
2. Coordinates the Provincial Secretariat Chaplaincy
3. Approves work plans for all units in the Missions and Evangelism department
4. Oversees departmental fundraising and financial management
5. Supervise and carry-out appraisal of staff in department
6. Acts as secretary to the Board of Mission and reports to the same Board from time to time
7. A member of the Provincial Secretariat Management team

Job requirement
Specifications of a suitable Candidate should include:
1. A university degree in theology from a recognised institution, preferably in the field of missiology
2. Must be an ordained priest (clergy), practicing and committed Christian capable of planning and carrying out Mission outreaches, preaching, and teaching or a suitable lay person of respectable Christian culture with at least a university degree in a relevant discipline e.g. missiology or theology plus five years work practical experience in a related field.
3. Must have proven experience of strategic planning and training
4. Must be creative and resourceful
5. Must have at least five years experience in Church Ministry and Pastoral Work
