Job Title: Outage Manager
REF No UM/ENG/07/10/11
Reports to: Chief Technical Officer
Department: Engineering

Job purpose:
To ensure a good customer service by managing all network outages so that they are minimized and all stakeholders are fully informed at all times.

Key responsibilities:
• Schedule and communicate all planned outages
• Develop and implement a transparent program of load curtailment under supply shortages
• Develop and implement a stakeholder real time communication process and system Review and implement an improved faults management system
• Analyze outage statistics to identify priority areas for network improvement

Required qualifications and experience:
BSc Electrical Engineering Degree
At least six (5) years post qualification experience in power system operations.

Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong leadership Skills,
• Team builder and mentor,
• Strong interpersonal skills,
• Excellent oral and written communication skills,
• Competence in the use of computer data management packages, excel, access.
