INSURANCE COMPANY OF EAST AFRICA LIMITED Is seeking suitably qualified persons for the following jobs to add value to their business:

Head of Agency

Reports to the Manager, General Business and directly supervises Unit Leaders and Tied General Agents

Purpose of the Role: To monitor and coordinate implementation and maintenance of systematic and professional Tied General Agent TGA recruitment, training and supervision mechanisms that fully develop and maintain productivity in the agency, in order for the Company to achieve its overall targets in general business and grow its market share.

Key Responsibilities:
• Business Development.
• Management of Agency Recruitment and Training.
• Staff / Agency Force Coordination and Support.
• Provision of Customer Service Support.
• Preparation of regular Management Reports.
• Staff / Agency Force Supervision.
• Performing any other duties as may be assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
• Strong first degree or equivalent qualification in commerce, business or management majoring in sales and marketing.
• Post graduate qualification in any of the above fields is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of sales management experience
• Thorough understanding of the intricacies and integrity of insurance general business.
• Excellent knowledge of the local market
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent negotiation, persuading and influencing
• People leadership, team management and networking
• Proven sales track record
• Ability to adapt and respond to market changes
