The
Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) was establishment
after The Accountants Statute No. 12, now the Accountants Act, Cap. 266 of the
Laws of Uganda, 2000, was enacted in August 1992. ICPAU is the national
professional accountancy body in Uganda, established by an act of Parliament.
The Accountants Act, 2013 gives the Institute a legal mandate to:

and maintain the Standard of Accountancy in Uganda. - Prescribe
and regulate the conduct of accountants and practicing accountants in
Uganda. - This
includes conducting professional accountancy examinations in Uganda.

Summary: The
Examinations Officer will be responsible for handling administrative work
concerning students and examinations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Process
the registration of students. - Handle
all examinations administration and management. - Update
and maintain students’ records and database. - Assist
in the designing and reviewing the examinations’ syllabi. - Actively
participate in the production of the Institute’s training materials - Assist
in the marketing of the Institute’s courses. - Assist
in the management of the Institute’s Library. - Build
and manage relationships with the Institute’s stakeholders. - Perform
any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
Skills and Experience:
- The
applicant must be a Qualified Accountant. Possession of a relevant
degree is an added advantage. - A
minimum of three years’ relevant working experience. - Skills
in teaching/training; - Excellent
financial management and reporting skills
