(ICC), governed by the Rome Statute, is the first permanent, treaty based,
international criminal court established to help end impunity for the
perpetrators of the most serious crimes of concern to the international
community.
The ICC is an independent
international organisation, and is not part of the United Nations system. Its
seat is at The Hague in the Netherlands. Although the Court’s expenses are
funded primarily by States Parties, it also receives voluntary contributions
from governments, international organisations, individuals, corporations and
other entities.

Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop
links with local communities and follow the socio-political situation in
the areas of operations to develop and maintain the maximum level of
security awareness of the local situation; - Actively
coordinate travel arrangements and logistic support for investigators and
witnesses as required for mission support; - Assist
in the coordination of security arrangements for witnesses; - Compile
and send reports for ICC headquarters in the absence of the FOO; - Offers
administrative and some operational support to the staff of the Office of
the Prosecutor (OTP) in the Field Office, including visiting investigators
and other personnel, arranging meetings, taking minutes and follows up on
decisions taken; - Maintain
the Field Operations Officer’s calendar of activities, office files and
records; - Maintain
financial records of OTP field office expenditure.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
Skills and Experience:
- The
applicant must have completed secondary education. - A
minimum of six years’ experience; possession of a university degree may be
substituted with two years of working experience - Significant
experience in dealing with situations requiring high degree of
confidentiality - Past
exposure and experience in dealing with traumatized people - High
Personal initiative, flexibility and ability to work with diverse
professionals - Advanced
knowledge of office procedures and practices; - Computer
literacy skills i.e. advanced skills in standard Microsoft applications:
Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook; - Past
experience in a multinational environment experience would be an advantage. - Knowledge
of local languages.
