Job Summary: The Social Services Advisor/Director of Services will be responsible for
the management and development of all services provided by CiF in Uganda. He/
She shall ensure that a high quality, cost effective model of social work
practice is provided in accordance with the organisation’s strategy and
policies and with government policy on Alternative Care.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must have attained
professional qualification in social work - The ideal candidate should also hold a
Degree level education, preferably to Master’s level - Five or more years post qualifying social
work experience preferably including adoption and fostering - At least two years staff management
experience - Past exposure and experience of managing
budgets including budget planning, monitoring, reporting and achievement
of best value- - Past exposure and experience of service
development and strategic planning - Prior experience in managing HR issues
- Past experience of managing data and
formal reporting of key performance indicators will be highly desirable - Past experience of partnership working is
essential - Experience of developing, implementing
and monitoring - Policies and procedures, including child
safeguarding, health and safety and HR
