SAP MM consultant – Direct Contract 2 yrs, Mandarin speaking a MUST as this position needs to work with Chinese speaking counter parts in China.
Summary:
This position is a 2 year direct contract with the Client. Candidate with experience in dealing with US counter parts, handling sensitive issues on timely basis are requested to apply. This role is more of a Project Manager role than just SAP MM consultant position.
This position is responsible for the execution of the detailed design and configuration of our clients business processes for the manufacturing plants. This position works with the Business Process Team and Data Quality Management in the analysis and decomposition of the business processes, documenting the business process and data quality requirements, and designing and configuring the SAP System to support the organization’s To-Be process and quality data vision.
Scope:
The scope of this role is across Asia Pacific
Essential Functions:
• Analyze and decompose the business processes.
• Develop business process documentation.
• Create and implement the process of turning blueprints into realization and system solutions.
• Ensure that business processes are effectively mapped in the software configuration.
• Identify the global and standardization requirements versus the local requirements.
• Works with Data Quality Management to establish guiding policies regarding master data within assigned work stream. Coordinate and manage business resources supporting data cleanup, historical data conversion and migration in advance of system cutover
• Assist the GPT HQ team in designing and configuring the system to support the organization’s To-Be process and data quality vision, together with Data Quality Management, technical team and the Business Process Owner
• Aid in the design of reports, forms, interfaces, and conversions.
• Test, modify, and document the business process.
• Consults with business unit management and personnel to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope including archiving and quality requirements, usage, formatting, and security requirements.
• Provide post-implementation support
• May conduct workshops and presentations to validate business processes and solutions with the end user community.
• Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws.
• Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), data privacy, and functional policies published on the Information Network.
Education and Experience Requirements:
A Bachelor in Engineering or Computer Sciences or related experience is required:
• Internal recognition as an “expert” within SAP manufacturing arena.
• Past experience designing and deploying an ERP system is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years hand-on experiences in SAP.
• Past experience in migrating MFGPRO to SAP is desirable.
• MS/MBA or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Additionally:
Familiar with multiple operating environments with ability to drive consensus across SCM constituents and insure horizontal process stream linkage with the vertical business and regional requirements.
