Eligibility:
The positions are open to applicants of any nationality. Applicants should
typically have between 3 and 6 years of postdoctoral experience in a field
related to the overall scientific focus of the Laboratory in plant development
and its computational modelling. Applicants should be able to provide strong
evidence of their potential to develop independent research programs.

Scholarship Description: Applications are invited for Research Career
Development Fellowships to be held in the Sainsbury Laboratory at the
University of Cambridge. With the intention of nurturing the next generation of
researchers in the field of plant science, the Fellowships provide an
opportunity for talented junior investigators to develop their own research
program and become creative leaders in the field.The Sainsbury Laboratory is a
new research institute, providing an outstanding scientific environment. It has
excellent resources and core facilities, with state-of-the-art equipment and
instrumentation including growth rooms, glasshouses, microscopy and computing
facilities. It provides a collaborative atmosphere where young scientists can
take risks in a supportive environment. The University of Cambridge offers a
high concentration of talented plant and developmental biologists and
computational researchers, and East Anglia has an unprecedented concentration
of research centres dedicated to plant biology. what does it Covers:Funds
include full salary, benefits and £40,000 p.a. of unrestricted research
support.
