Responsibilities
* Identifying or evaluating news leads and news tips to develop a story idea
* Collecting and analyzing information about newsworthy events to write news
stories on
* Gathering and verifying factual information regarding a story through
interviews, observation or research
* Organizing material, determining slant or emphasis and writing stories
according to prescribed editorial style and format standards
* Taking pictures to illustrate the stories
* Assisting in editing
Minimum requirements
* At least a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Humanities, Social Sciences,
Political Science, Business Studies or any other related field from a
recognized and reputable university or college
* Must have excellent communication, writing and analytical skills
* Must be open-minded, fair and honest
* Must be ready to work under strenuous and odd schedules
* Must be able to work independently
* Must be strong, energetic and able to work under pressure
* Must have initiative since this is a challenging job
* Experience not a prerequisite
SALES AND MARKETING EXECUTIVES
Responsibilities
* Persuading clients to buy advertising space
* Finding out who controls the advertising budget in target organizations and
contacting them to cut business deals
* Explaining the benefits of our medium, using statistics on readership
* Offering a price of space and negotiating around it
* Closing the deal and recording the details
Minimum requirements
* At least an Advanced Diploma in Marketing
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal
skills
* Must have good telephone manners
* Must have persuasive abilities
* Must have confidence and outgoing personality
* Must have the ability to build and grow relationships with customers
* Must be good with numbers
* Must be well organized and able to handle multiple tasks
* Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet targets
* Must have good time management skills
* Must be able to transform the needs of a client into a realistic project
* Must have at least three years hands-on experience in the industry
