Cost Controller
Reporting to the Operations
Manager, the overall responsibility of the candidate is to oversee the stores
function by carrying out the following specific duties
Processing of all invoices and
transfers, daily variance reports and summaries, Daily stock control system
reconciliation, Daily, weekly and month end stock take of all stores and
outlets, Counting of operating equipment and ensuring that par levels are maintained,
Processing
of inventories for all cost centres, Stores Management: hygiene and
safety, Completion and submission of the month-end file to the Food and
Beverage Manager and Chief Accountant, Maintain stock holding according to the
Protea Hotel Benchmarks, Assisting operations during nigh occupancy periods
The applicant should have worked
on a similar role for at least 2 yr and should possess the following
qualifications and attributes
At a minimum, the applicant must
be a holder of Diploma in stores Management from a recognised university, A
holder of a Diploma in Hospitality Management with knowledge of Micros POS will
have a distinct advantage, Must have good food and beverage controls management
skills, Strong organisational skills
