Compensation:
Experience working closely with the Editor/ Online Editor and Office Manager of a leading transportation cycling magazine; team management experience; a venue to communicate and share your passion with a group of like-minded individuals; access to some events; a letter of reference upon completing the work term.
Position Overview:
1. Online support, such as back-end website maintenance and uploading
2. Editorial support, including writing stories for print and online
3. Research projects
4. SEO
5. Administrative tasks
6. Marketing and social networking, including using blogs, Twitter and Facebook
Qualifications:
1. Proven research skills, particularly in an online environment
2. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; a team player
3. Education in the Arts or Social Sciences and/ or an interest in research, business management and/ or communications
4. Expert time management and organizational skills
5. Experience working with Twitter, blogging, Facebook and other forms of social media is preferred
6. An interest in urban lifestyle cycling
7. Some online content management system experience is an asset
8. A background in writing for print or online is an asset
