Development Supervisors – 12 posts – Chikwawa and Nsanje – NASFAM
Responsible for improvement of the livelihood of smallholder farmers through
introduction of sustainable land use methods and local marketing and business
development, focusing mainly on business and marketing activities at the EPA
level. The position if available in Chikwawa and Nsanje Districts and
reports to the District Agribusiness Coordina

Facilitate the formation of a farmer clubs, action groups and associations, Organise
formal farmer trainings in the formed clubs, action groups and associations in
order to strengthen organisational production and marketing capacity, Work with
farmer leaders and the District Agribusiness Coordinator to facilitate the
implementation of Association commercial programs including bulk transport,
demonstration plots, crop marketing and seed multiplication, Strengthen the
productive capacity and bargaining power of smallholder farmers for better
prices of their produce, Advocate for the principles of accountability,
transparency and good governance in the formed farmer organisations, Facilitate
Associations to enter into contact farming and marketing, collective marketing
and other credit services in view of promoting the concept of farming business,
Promote equitable access to opportunities, active participation in social
economic activities
Minimum of a Diploma in Agriculture, 2 yr work experience in the field of
agriculture, Must have business management and marketing training skills, Interpersonal
skills and flexibility to work with diverse target groups, Good planning skills
and ability to work independently, Comfortable to travel using a motorbike
