Senior Accountant
Reporting to the Financial Director the ideal candidate should possess the following:
• The candidate should be in possession of ACCA/CIMA or a similar professional qualification with at least 4 years working experience
• Working knowledge of accounting software such as SAP Business 1
• Preparing timely financial reports according to the group deadlines
• Cash flow management- bank reconciliations, petty cash balance monitoring
• Provide effective supervision to direct reports, in accordance with the position
• Ensure the maintenance and updating of accurate accounting records in SAPB 1 and outlook soft to ensure accurate reporting
• Working capital management – manages stock, debtors and creditors in accordance with group requirements
• Manage internal controls in accordance with world class standards
• Assist with coordinating the budget process
• Liaise with external auditors and ensure that the annual audit is completed timely.
• Monitor and control the capital expenditure process in accordance with group requirements
• Ensure efficient and effective closure of accounts and reconciliations at month end and year end
• To ensure the integrity of the General ledger for the Company in order to facilitate reporting in accordance with strict deadlines
• To ensure that the relevant legal and statutory requirements are adhered to
• Be in a possession of a valid driver`s license
