1.FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR FSN-10/FP-5 ; N13/28 (P275,558 p.a Starting
Salary per year + benefits)

1.1.Basic Function of Position
The Facilities Supervisor serves under the supervision of the Construction and
Facilities Manager to manage all CDC Botswana facilities services and
maintenance support activities in Gaborone and Francistown; provides direct
supervision to eight Locally Employed Staff (LES) and facility maintenance
contract personnel to assure effective operational support for a staff of over
150 in multiple locations throughout Botswana; support includes creating and
executing a preventive maintenance plan, scheduling personnel or contractors to
execute unscheduled maintenance requirements, and responding to inquiries
regarding maintenance or renovation related issues or services.

1.2.Qualifications Required
•A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
architecture or similar field with a strong background in Facility Management.

•Three years of progressively responsible experience in building maintenance
management work is required. 1 year facilities maintenance supervisory
experience required

•Level IV (fluency – speaking/reading/writing) in English is required.

•Must have a good working knowledge of all facets of offices including
procurement policies, procedures and time frames; thorough knowledge of
facilities and equipment maintenance concepts, principles and procedures; and a
good understanding of facilities management and customer service principles

•Must have advanced computer level skills and a good grasp of commonly used Computerized
Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software programs, word processing and
spreadsheets required; Must be familiar with the local business environment and
Government of Botswana structure and practices to effectively manage
procurement and external client communications and contracts.
