Botswana Investment
and Trade Centre (BITC) is a parastatal organization established by an Act of
Parliament No. 12
of 2011. It is a Lead national Investment Promo
tion Agency geared towards
achieving efficiency and streamlining
policy coordination over national investment promotion, trade and export
development activities as well as nation
branding. BITC focuses on improved service delivery, strong results orientation
as enabled by a strategic focus
that will propel investment promotion and export development as key components
of the national economic
diversification strategy.
BITC seeks to fill
position of Internal Auditor and citizens of Botswana are invited to apply.
1. INTERNAL AUDITOR
Main purpose of the
job
Examine and evaluate
the adequacy, effectiveness
and efficiency of the Centre’s internal control systems
and procedures and recommend corrective actions
to improve operations, enhance internal controls and
reduce costs where possible.
KEY PERFORMANCE
AREAS
• Conduct prioritized reviews of the effectiveness
of financial and non-financial controls over all
processes in audited areas.
• Plan individual audits, define audit objectives and
prepare audit plans and prioritize the allocation of
work based on achievable targets.
• Ensure regulatory compliance by monitoring the
extent to which the Centre adheres to existing laws,
regulations, guidelines and general business norms.
• Proactively evaluate risks and internal controls
against changing trends and market/ economic
conditions.
Ensure proper
management of all quality
management matters.
COMPETENCIES
• Articulate, both verbally and in writing
• Tactful but assertive
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of business management principles.
• High level of technical auditing skills
• Objective, logical and enquiring mind.
• Persistent and good negotiator
• Good project management
EDUCATIONAL
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Degree in Accounting/Auditing or relevant qualification
plus three years Internal/External Audit experience.

invite suitably qualified, dynamic, and self-driven individuals who are already
on Government Internship Program to join the Centre’s procurement division.
There is space for
two (2) Procurement Interns.
REQUIREMENTS
• CIPS Level 5 or
above/ degree in supply chain management or equivalent
