Diamonds Botswana is currently seeking to recruit the following staff member:
RECEIVING
CLERK
Reporting
to the standards and Inventory officer the incumbent will be responsible for
receiving, inspecting, counting and recording counts of goods/equipment and
logging and controlling of all returns and refurbishments as per the delivery
notes, active orders RTS’s and waybills.

Responsibilities
  • Daily
    receiving, checking and labelling incoming materials
  • Daily
    checking materials received against Delivery Note and Order for compliance
    and matching
  • Daily
    printing of Manifests for goods/equipment to be transported to other
    warehouses/locations
  • Daily
    monitoring, logging and compiling documentation for all oversupplies,
    wrong items delivered and the RTS back to the suppliers
  • Daily
    document Controlling and filing of Delivery Notes, GRV’s and Manifests
    twice a day before 12:00 and 18:00 at the end of the shift to ensure that
    no documentation are left unfilled
  • Daily
    assisting all customers and people that do deliveries courteous and in a
    prompt manner
  • Weekly
    standby duties during the time that the Store is not manned
  • Daily
    housekeeping of the stores receiving area and to ensure that all the
    walkways are free of any obstacles and that all the stock are safely and
    securely placed and kept
Qualifications
and Experience
  • O’
    levels plus a certificate in Accounting / Business Studies / CIPS
    Foundation Certificate
  • 3
    years of experience in supply chain in a mining environment

Gem
Diamonds Botswana (GDB) is the holder of a mining licence over a diamond
deposit located at Gope in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR). The
Company is currently developing the first underground diamond mine in Botswana.
The
Company operate various shift roster systems whereby employees will only be
accommodated at the mine during the on shift period of their shift rotation
(nine (9) days on and five (5) days off rotation for management; and 14 days on
seven (7) days off for production). The on-site accommodation comprises of a
well-appointed and equipped single status tented camp. There are no permanent
residents at the camp.
