Job Summary
To provide first line support through managing Access Management, System
inspections and implementing Diamond Control initiatives in low risk areas
Requirements
Minimum
Requirements
- Diploma
in Security Risk Management or equivalent - 3 years
post qualification experience in the field of security and risk management
or related field - Shop
floor Supervisory Development Programme/ equivalent
Key
Activities
- Recommends
and incorporates cost saving initiatives into budgets - Implements
the sectional plan in line with the operational plan. - Monitors
and ensures that daily inspections of the Access Management System and
security infrastructure within Low Risk areas are conducted. - Manages
access into Low Risk areas in accordance with set parameters to prevent
misappropriation of diamonds and company assets (Vehicles &
personnel). - Ensures
compliance to standards by communicating sectional procedures to employees
and stakeholders. Ensures safe delivery of the product. - Manages
implementation of Movement and Access Control activities at the operation
against a - clear
risk based approach that leads to the deliberate application of the
control - Implements
recommendations from the security multi-disciplinary diamond team (DCC)
within the operation to enhance the protection of diamonds. - Implements
the loss prevention program within area of responsibility - Conducts
both proactive and reactive security risk assessments in area of
responsibility and - takes
appropriate action - Executes
first line support to the command control, coordination of incidents
response and early - stages
of emergency management until such time that an emergency response team is
formed - and
operational. - Provides
and ensures quality customer service in areas of responsibility - Coordinates
the implementation of safety, health and environmental programme in area
of - responsibility
- Initiates
and coordinates the implementation of projects in accordance with Project
Management framework. - Manages
the effectiveness areas of subordinates and reviews targets.
