description

The position will be
based at Jwaneng Mine and the incumbent will report to the Botswana Country
Manager.

• Retain
  100% market share on all new JOYGLOBAL related sales through the
  off-loading, inspection and commissioning of the Flawless Start up process
  on all new and rebuild equipment at the customer site
• Provide
  weekly, monthly and quarterly OE rebuild opportunities to the Country
  Manager
• Communicate
  customer information to Botswana Country Manager and ensure close liaison
  with Botswana Finance and Logistics Managers.
• Create
  a schedule for and Manage all regular machine inspections, maintenance
  evaluations, condition monitoring inspections and performance checks at
  prescribed intervals to ensure machine availability and reliability
  optimization.
• Ensure
  that all the required planning and forecasting for equipment and spares
  are updated, maintained and communicated throughout the organisation
• Drive
  agreed selected CPT/LCM contracts
• Assist
  with fault finding during breakdowns; do on the job training with the
  technicians during maintenance shifts
• Drive
  initiatives and implement together with Country Manager, Manager Field
  Operations and Customer with a view to mining at the lowest cost per ton.
• Ensure
  safety standards and systems are in line with the customers system and
  comply with customers audits

Requirements

• BGCSE
  Form 5 and National Crafts Certificate (BW) / Matric and N3(RSA) and/or
  studying towards an Electronics/Electrical Diploma
• At
  least 5 years’ experience in Field Service capacity
• Fully
  qualified Electrician /Fitter/ Millwright with a valid trade test paper
• Must
  have the ability to interpret technical concepts
• Strong
  Joy Global surface equipment knowledge and machine maintenance management
  experience
• Previous
  experience in a supervisory capacity is essential – Forecast budgeting and
  cost control.
• Ability
  to work with multidisciplinary teams and drive sales and margins
• Impeccable
  record in driving good customer service and gathering competitive market
  intelligence
• Computer
  literacy is essential – MS Office
• Preference
  will be given to Botswana citizens
