YOUTH CASEWORKER – LIGHTNING RIDGE AND COLLARENABRI
(12 Month Position)
This position involves individual and family casework and early intervention and prevention programs with vulnerable youth aged 12 to 18 years. This position will be working in conjunction with the Walgett Reconnect Service. Preferred location for position base is Walgett but this can be negotiable.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
• Qualifications in Community Services
• High level of communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work cooperatively with young people and their families
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Ability to work with other service providers
• Proven negotiation skills
• Proven leadership and organisational skills
• Computer skills
• Availability to work flexible hours
• Current Drivers Licence
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
• Experience in working with and counselling adolescents
• Previous work experience
• First Aid Certificate
