• Minimum educational requirement: Master’s degree
• Successful previous administrative experience at the assistant principal level or higher
• Coursework and/or professional development in gifted education preferred
• Experience with innovation and research in education is an asset
• Excellent interpersonal, team building, staff development and leadership skills
• Ability to communicate and articulate the school’s vision to the internal and external education community
• Proven organizational and administrative skills
• Ability to motivate, recognize accomplishments of others and inspire staff and students to high levels of achievement
• Eligibility for Alberta teacher certification
