The High Park Nature Centre is looking for an Office Administrator to join our team!
The High Park Nature Centre is a not-for-profit organization that promotes awareness, understanding and respect for the natural world. Reporting to the Nature Centre Coordinator, the Office Administrator position supports excellence in customer service and ensures smooth, day-to-day operation of office systems.
Job Responsibilities
– Process educational program bookings from teachers, parents, individuals and community groups
– Track all program statistics and compile program evaluations
– Perform general office duties in an efficient and effective manner including answering the telephone and filing
– Receive, sort and respond to incoming mail, email, faxes and correspondence
– Track invoices, receipts, payments and refunds
– Assemble and mail membership kits, respond to membership inquiries, maintain membership database and coordinate membership renewals
– Receive drop-in visitors and provide park and program information
– Other duties as required
Qualifications
– High school diploma or equivalent required
– Certificate and/or relevant training in office administration a strong asset
– A passion for High Park and nature!
– Detail-oriented, highly organized, ability to multi-task in a busy environment
– Excellent interpersonal skills on the phone, in person and via email
– Excellent English language skills in oral and written communication
– Experience working with children and families an asset
– Ability to work independently and as a team member
– MS Office Suite — Outlook, Excel, WORD, Access
– Working knowledge of Quickbooks an asset
– Willing to learn new applications and software
Hours per week: 16
Wage per Hour: $13.00
