Location: St Eustatius, Caribbean
Join the St. Eustatius National Parks Foundation and help to conserve their two parks — the Marine Park and the Quill National Park. Acquire new practical conservation skills and take part in:
– sea turtle monitoring and tagging in Marine Park
– trail work in dormant volcanic National Park
– botanical and tropical gardening
– species monitoring
– environmental education
All year round from 1 to 3 months.

7 November – 3 December, 2011
Extra activities:
Volunteers spend their free time snorkelling and diving in pristine untouched coral filled waters that surround the island as well as hiking in the National Park. Also a boat trip around the island can be arranged, along with trips to neighbouring islands.
Volunteer Requirements:
No specific skills are needed, but those with an interest in conservation, tropical botany and sea turtles are welcome to join.
Costs:
The cost for 1 month is £690, 2 months is £1230 and 3 months is £1770. This covers all project costs, including all food (300 USD allowance for food per month), camping in botanical garden, 4WD truck use, training, materials etc. Also includes free access to diving equipment and tanks for volunteers helping in Marine Park.
