Enterprise Architect

The IT Architect is required to provide strategic technology direction within IT and throughout the organization, a key element in the overall IT strategic plan. By leading the program to develop, maintain and leverage the enterprise architecture (EA) across the organization, the IT Architect provides leadership in the integration of business and IT at an organizational as well as a project level, including the coordination of an appropriately balanced pursuit of business, application, data and technology architectures that enable the enterprise business and IT strategies. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Information Technology, this position establishes and manages the architecture governance structure. Management responsibilities include planning, organizing, development, implementation and support processes, which help ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of PotashCorp’s EA Framework and Methodology.

Candidates must have a degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, plus 10 or more years of experience in at least two IT disciplines, including 5 years of IT managerial or architecture experience. Candidates must also maintain certification in TOGAF or similar EA framework and methodology.

Candidates should have a good working knowledge of the technology underlying all enterprise architecture domains including infrastructure (servers, storage, networks and end user devices), applications, database, and security. Knowledge of and experience with COBIT, ITIL and PMI methodologies and frameworks is also a requirement, along with knowledge of and experience with IT related disciplines: SDLC, Application Portfolio Management, ITSM, Data Management.
