We currently have an opportunity for an
Architectural Technologist
in our Calgary office who is very comfortable with AutoCAD, and has a full understanding of the principles of drafting and residential design.
What you bring to the table:
• You’ll bring to Jayman your passion for residential design.
• Post secondary certificate or diploma in a building science related course that includes AutoCAD training
• Experience using AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• At least one or two years of residential design drafting experience
What you’ll be doing:
You will take our pre-planned designs, incorporate changes requested by customers, and changes made necessary by the selected lot, and translate them into working drawings for our construction team. You’ll utilize your knowledge of mechanical, electrical and structural drafting to create working drawings, and you’ll liaise with municipal governments, land developers, and Jayman team members to ensure all requirements are met. You will also be responsible for putting together the full package for the municipal government including plot plan, grade slips, building plans and joist layout.
Where you’ll be working: This position will be based in our Calgary offices.
