St. Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Sciences Communications / Community Action Officer Job Vacancy in Cornwall, Ontario

The River Institute is in need of a creative, self-reliant and results-oriented individual who can undertake a variety of communications and outreach tasks to support its environmental programs and fund development activities. The ideal candidate possesses a post-secondary degree or diploma in communications, media marketing or public relations with experience in the environmental or science sectors. A graduate of an environmental studies or related science program with experience in communications and/or marketing will also be considered.

Applicants should have:
• Superior written and oral communications abilities as well as strong interpersonal/relationship skills,
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and project,
• IT skills including experience with development of website, social media and other technology-based communications tools.

Bilingualism (English and French) and experience in the NGO sector are desirable.
