PROGRAMMER
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
# Design and development of reports using Oracle Reports and Microsoft Reporting Services.
# Detect, report, investigate, and fix application defects.
# Develop module requirements and design specifications.
# Provide after hours support for application users, as per the 24/7 rotating on-call process.
# Extract data for reports using SQL/PLSQL.
# Work with Development Team Lead and end users to define system requirements.
# Provide input to Development Team Lead in system-level design and development.
# Provide effort estimates for assigned modules to Development Team Lead.
# Maintain version control standards for development projects.
# Work with the Quality Assurance Team to ensure accuracy and solution integrity.
# Work closely with the development team to deliver quality work and relevant documents within estimated project timelines.
# Perform other duties consistent with the role profile as required.
Qualifications/Skills:
* University degree or college diploma in computer sciences or related major is required.
* 3+ years of working experience in ASP.NET (.NET 2.0 is a must, .NET 3.5 is preferred).
* 3+ years of working experience in Oracle database and/or Microsoft SQL Server is required.
* Working experience in the health care sector is preferred.
* Strong development skills in C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, ADO.NET required.
* Experience working in a structured process/quality environment in a CMM level 2+.
* Excellent documentation and communication skills.
* Ability to understand business problems from both a development and a client perspective.
* Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a fast paced, results oriented environment.
* Experience with Oracle Forms and Reports is an asset.
* MCSD or MCAD certification would be an asset.
* Ability to work after business hours, as per the 24/7 rotating on-call schedule is required.
