The Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area consists of 4800 acres of rolling foothills land donated by Ann and Sandy Cross. In addition to its mandate of protecting natural habitat for native species, the Area offers conservation education programs that foster awareness, appreciation and action. The Area is conveniently

Apply by April 17, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. Interviews to take place the week of April 23 and/or April 30 and position to start May 14, 2012.

Your Responsibilities:
• This is a 14 week position from May 14 to August 10, 2012. The position includes 35 hours per week, mostly Monday to Friday with occasional evenings and weekends required. Rate of pay is $15 per hour.
• You would assist in planning and delivery of events, writing articles and blogs for the website, as well as other communications related projects. You would also be involved in managing the ASCCA volunteers and visitors.
• You would participate fully as a team member of the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area as we work together to achieve our overall goals and strategies.

Your Requirements:
In your application show us that you meet the following requirements:
• Experienced in communications or marketing, in particular, article writing, planning special events, public relations and implementing a communications strategy
• Have advanced written and oral communication skills
• Hold a current first aid certificate or willingness to update
• Are willing to complete a police security check
• Have a vehicle to get to the workplace, which is located just outside the SW Calgary city limits
• To meet grant requirements you must have been registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year
