PAYROLL ASSISTANT
Calgary, AB

The Payroll Assistant is an entry level payroll position at Inter Pipeline Fund (IPF). This position is a member of the larger Human Resources Team, comprised of Payroll, HR and Office Services and is located in the Calgary Corporate Office.

Key Activities and Responsibilities:
Payroll filing
Distribution of pay stubs
Payroll/timesheet and HRIS data entry
Following-up on new hire paperwork
Responding to employee inquiries relating to payroll and benefits
Conducting new hire orientations
Assisting with payroll year-end processes
General support to the Payroll, HR and Office Services functions as needed

Education, Skills and Experience:
Minimum of Grade 12 with at least two years of general office or payroll experience
Desire to learn and develop further in the payroll discipline
Completion of (or enrolment in) the CPA Payroll Fundamentals would be considered an asset
Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information relating to payroll and HR in a professional manner
Experience with ADP Pay at Work and EZLabor an asset
Strong numerical skills with an unfailing attention to detail
Well developed MS Office skills and experience (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimum supervision
