Free The Children seeks a driven and experienced Manager, Executive
Correspondence who will report to the Director, Executive Projects and
Co-Founder directly. This position works in the Executive Office to
provide effective and efficient correspondence and administrative
support to the Co-Founder of the organization by managing a team of
support staff. The candidate should have at least two years of
experience performing administrative and communication-related duties
at an executive level, solid professional writing skills, demonstrate
an ability to manage multiple priorities, and have previous experience
in a leadership/ management capacity. A sophisticated level of
professionalism, confidentiality and discretion is imperative.

The position is based out of Free The Children’s International office
in Toronto (233 Carlton Street). A minimum two-year commitment is
expected. There is a three (3) month probationary period, upon
reaching the three (3) month period, all staff members are offered a

Responsibilities
• Acting as the main point of contact to the Co-Founder in supporting
the daily communication coming out of the Executive Office
• Overseeing executive correspondence by delegating communication
pieces, ghost writing and editing responses to emails and letters from
external stakeholders
• Managing a team of four individuals with the highest level of
support, guidance and accountability, ensuring quality, timeliness and
consistency
• Helping to refine and manage ongoing stakeholder engagement strategies
• Following-up with internal team members to ensure that projects are complete
• Managing and assisting with special projects in accordance with
various members of the Executive leadership team and acting as a
liaison to the rest of the organization
• Providing support on other tasks as required
Skills and Qualifications
• Must possess a University/College degree
• Minimum two years related experience required
• Previous experience in a leadership/management capacity an asset
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated writing and editing ability a must, with experience
with ghost writing and providing support at a similar professional
level preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Outlook, Word, Excel
and Power Point
• Detail oriented and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
• Highly organized and flexible
• Excellent work ethic and dedication, has a flexible schedule,
comfortable with last minute requests
• Ability to multi-task and meet changing deadlines
• Must be self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
• Willingness and desire to work irregular hours and support on special events
