The Food Forest Cafe, located in Peterborough, ON, is looking for a
dedicated, self motivated, experienced individual who is passionate
about delicious vegan cousine. Experience as line or prep cook,
prepping vegetables, vegetarian/vegan cooking, or knife skills is an
asset. Must be independent, be able to recreate and make our menu
items in a timely manner, prep recipes, and work efficiently. A strong
work ethic is ideal for our fast paced environment. We are
continuously growing and want
to add the right person to our hard
working team.
The job description for our cook positions:
• Plating our daily menu items, prepping and washing large amounts of
vegetables and fruits, prepping/making large quantities of soups and
sauces, quality control of all food leaving kitchen, portion sizing,
making appropriate dietary consideration for allergies or requests.
Having Culinary training or education is ideal but Food handler’s
certification is mandatory for the position.
We are hiring for 2 positions:
• Ft / Pt Prep Cook
• Ft / Pt Line Cook
