Your role will encompass all stages of project development –
flexibility and versatility are key. You will be responsible for
assisting in the conceptual development and the execution of
deliverables on projects working with non-profit and charitable
organizations. These responsibilities include creating and
communicating concepts to the Managing Director, delivering on the
assigned deliverables, and developing interactive design solutions.
This role will need to balance strategic development, executional
problem solving, and creative thinking.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development of our core creative services including:
• Branding
• Web page design
• User experience design
• Broadcast/branded content
• Motion design
• Copywriting
• Assist in our technical development tasks, including:
• Creating technical specifications
• Prototyping
• Design and development of web pages.
• Creation of new custom tools and features that extend functionality.
• Assist with the integration of data between different systems.
• Assist with testing, quality assurance and bug tracking
• Maintain and support websites and services for our clients, including:
• Provide key support for existing online web platforms, including
wordpress, engaging networks, control shift, Nation Builder, and other
systems as required.
• Develop and execute website content strategy, support publishing of
content, and other website maintenance tasks.
• Manage the preparation and publishing of online campaigns, website
landing pages, and email broadcasts.
• Support data management tasks across different systems

Experience:

Must Have Skills:
• Up to date skills in HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript
• Experience customizing WordPress or other content management systems
• Strong design skills and experience with Adobe Creative Suite
• Know how to rationalize concepts to clients and team members
• Experience with campaign development, creative execution and pitching
• Understanding of interaction and UI design concepts
• Adaptable to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a
fast-paced environment
• Acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines

Nice to Have Skills:
• Passionate and dedicated to creating meaningful social impact.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of trends in design, social
media and integrated advertising campaigns
• Creative flair, originality and a strong visual sense
• Experience working with data, databases and spreadsheets. MySQL or similar.
• Quick learner with a high level of interest in learning new systems
• Typography skills and broad stylistic design approach
• Experience managing confidential information professionally
• Knowledge of how to comply with Canadian regulations

This is a 3 month contract position with the possibility of an extension.
