Reports to: Manager, Energy Strategies and Technical Services

Summary:

EnviroCentre requires a temporary full-time Program Assistant to
support EnviroCentre’s diverse energy programming. The posit

ion
requires an organized, detail-oriented go-getter with strong oral and
written communication skills who works well independently as well as
co-operatively.

Program Assistant will:
• Assist with planning and delivery of business development projects
including drafting business plans, timelines and budgets
• Assist with market research, compiling and synthesizing data,
reporting on findings and making recommendations
• Assist program team with promotion and outreach on EnviroCentre
programs and community events

Requirements:

This position is funded in part by Canada Summer Jobs. In order to be
eligible, candidates must meet the following requirements:
• Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
• Have been registered as full-time student in the previous academic
year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next
academic year;
• Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee
protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee
Protection Act; and,
• Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant
provincial/territorial legislation and regulations

Assets:
• Previous business development experience
• Knowledge of green building practices and residential energy efficiency
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including both
verbal and written communication
• Experience creating written documents and spreadsheets
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
