As one of CASA’s newest Project Managers, you will learn to provide leadership and direction to multi-stakeholder project teams that develop policy recommendations for some of Alberta’s most challenging air quality files. You facilitate team discussions, manage team dynamics and handle issues that have the potential to impede team progress. You build positive working relationships across stakeholder groups and foster a climate in which interest-based negotiation helps stakeholders to reach ground-breaking agreements. You value your ability to manage complex projects and to produce deliverables on time and to a high standard.
The successful candidate will have:
• a university degree in a related field (e.g. natural resource sciences, conservation sciences geography, etc.) or a comparable combination of education and experience;
• a minimum of two years of related work experience;
a demonstrated interest in multi-stakeholder engagement;
• experience in group facilitation, and;
• a demonstrated ability to write well and communicate effectively.
The Clean Air Strategic Alliance is one of Alberta’s most accomplished and innovative institutions dedicated to reaching consensus-based agreements on environmental issues. CASA is a non-profit society comprised of representatives selected by industry, government and non-government organizations. The mission of this partnership is to recommend strategies to assess and improve air quality in Alberta using a consensus process. The CASA Secretariat operates in a small, collegial office environment where collaborative, open communication is highly valued.
