Volunteer Project Coordinator
The Vancouver Island Spine Trail Association (VISTA) is building a long
distance trail from Victoria to Cape Scott on Vancouver Island. We have a very
active Board of Directors and are seeking a volunteer to a
ssist with answering
emails and directing higher level correspondence to the appropriate VISTA
representative. If you believe in our project and would like to get involved
this is a great opportunity.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Be the initial point of contact for public enquiries by email
• Respond to enquiries and allocate them to task supervisors for an appropriate
response
• Be aware of potential opportunities for advancing the goals of VISTA
• Potentially assist with some website and social media updates
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
• Administrative and website management experience would be an asset
• Knowledge of the VI Spine Project
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Self motivated and able to work independently
Additional Information
Location: Victoria/Southern Vancouver Island
This is a part-time (2-6 hours per week) commitment. The volunteer is expected
to work from home and provide their own computer and internet connection. Hours
are flexible.
Start date: November 1, 2015
