a Vulnerable Sector Police Check. Please do not apply if you are a Toronto
resident, as we are presently looking for people who live and have networks in
the Regions we are serving.
When
and where:
We’re
looking for someone who can commit to 2-3 days a week for the remainder of the
2015-2016 school year (1 day for outreach calls/emails to schools, 1-2 days for
program delivery, and sometimes an extra day/week when bookings are really
busy). You can work from your home office, but from time to time we encourage
you to spend an administration day at our Toronto office in the Upper Beach on
Mondays, which is our team day in the office.
How
we’ll support you:
Your
training and orientation to FTA will include 1 shadowing day in the office + 1
shadowing day in program. We’re a highly self-motivated team and will believe
in your abilities to be “up and running” right away, but we’ll also be here to
mentor you. If you’ve got a question, have a suggestion on how to make
improvements, or need to debrief, we’ll make time for you.
Pay:
$180.00
/ each full-day program delivered, + a bonus for each class booked. You will be
an independent contractor, so an entrepreneurial mindset is the best fit for
this role. Admin and outreach time is not paid; however you are free to book as
many sessions a week as you are able to deliver (you will also have some help
with outreach from the FTA team). All scripts and resources are at your
fingertips in our Drive, so you will not have to invent your own outreach
process. All travel and technology/communications expenses can be claimed on
income tax. All program expenses (e.g. for laminating, or for your own
class-set of scissors) are reimbursable to FTA.
If
this sounds like you . . .
We’d
love to hear from you! Please send your resume along with a covering letter
that tells us why you’d be perfect for the position and your availability. If
someone referred you to us, please let us know in your cover letter.
Submissions close on Monday, December 14th, 2015.
