SHOPPER/SUPPORT COOK
Algonquin Log Cabin and Outfitter (hiring 2 people)
The Voyageur Quest Shopper and Support Cook is responsible for:
• inventory, ordering, planning, shopping for and delivering food
• preparing and serving healthy and tasty meals in an open kitchen
• washing dishes
We will be hiring 2 people. Though the roles will overlap, one will
predominantly support the needs of the Algonquin Log Cabin which hosts groups
of 4 to 18 in an off the grid environment with an open kitchen. The other will
support the needs of the Outfitter, Canoe Trip Support, Cottages and Special
Events. Both will work with our Head Cook.
Applicants must have: a driver’s license to be able to go shop in town,
experience with food preparation (cooking and baking), serving and dishes, an
email and telephone to communicate with office, excellent communication skills
and a true love of hosting, interacting with guests and nature.
• $15/ hour
• approx. 20-30 hours per week
• option for on-site shared accommodation in simple cabins
• meals covered while working
