is looking for an Manager,
Sponsorship Activation to join its WE Day team. WE Day is more
than just one day of celebration and inspiration. WE Day is the movement of our
time – a movement of young people leading local and global change. Harnessing

As the Manager,
Sponsorship Activation you will report directly to the Associate Director of
Sponsorship Activation, WE Day. The Manager is a key driver in the execution of
our sponsorship strategy to capture and retain both new and current partners
across North America and the United Kingdom. This role is responsible for
managing the execution of sponsorship benefits at WE Day events across Canada
and the US, managing a portfolio of up to 100 partners by liaising with
multiple departments within the organization to implement customized
sponsorship objectives.
This position is
based out of Free The Children’s International office in Toronto (213 Carlton
Street). There is a three (3) month probationary period, upon reaching this all
staff members are offered a health plan including dental and Employee Assistant
Program.

Responsibilities:
Event
Execution:
- Working
alongside Sponsorship Activation Team to execute all WE Day events.
Strategy:
- Supports
the Associate Director of Sponsorship Activation with the overall WE Day
sponsorship strategy and vision across events in Canada, the United
Kingdom, and the United States. - Identifies
gaps in the process and opportunities for growth within the overall
sponsorship strategy and shares creative solutions and suggestions for
team improvement. - Overseas
all WE Day sponsor activations in partnership with the other Managers and
ensures there is no sponsor conflict.
Team and
Inter-Departmental Relations:
- Works
in Partnership with the other Manager to oversee and coach the Associate
Manager and Administrative Coordinator. - Functions
as the bridge between the WE Day Team and other Free The Children
departments including Business Development, Partner Relations, Creative
and Communications, PR, Social & Digital Media as well as Regional
Offices. - Acts as
an escalation point for internal teams to consult when sponsor issues
arise, managing key information up to Senior Management on a daily,
weekly, monthly basis.
Partner
Stewardship and Project Management:
- Ensures
alignment with partners’ goals and objectives across all platforms of
sponsor activation (inputs, booths, production, special events). - Responsible
for driving activations forward, galvanizing other team members to ensure
timelines are being met. - Leads
the creation of communication templates; most notably the onboarding deck
and activation proposals which outline, in detail, possible benefits and
proposed concepts for all activation platforms.
Skills and
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s
degree plus 1-2 years professional experience in business, event or
project management, marketing or sponsorship activation. - Sound
understanding of and experience working with Microsoft Office,
specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. - Ability
and willingness to travel to all WE Day events if required to support. - Strong
interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). - Excellent
critical thinking, organizational, and time management skills. - Outstanding
work ethic with rigorous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- High
level of positivity and professionalism. - Flexible,
adaptable, thrives in stressful situations, and a strong team player. - Ability
to liaise with multiple departments and different levels of management. - Able to
work both independently and within a team setting with minimal
supervision.
